Consultant Biography

Bob Wilde

Biography: Mr. Bob Wilde has over 35 years of professional experience which includes aviation, defense planning, operations analysis, education, leadership and management. He has provided extensive support to NAVAIR in a wide variety of capacities from managing a large number of contract service support efforts for several program offices to leading critical warfare analysis endeavors.

Significant study efforts with Air-4.10 (Warfare Analysis and Integration Department) include:

Led a 5- month effort examining manpower requirements and other considerations for supporting an emerging Unmanned Carrier Launched Aircraft Surveillance and Strike system (UCLASS) initial evaluation in 2018. Led a 4- month effort evaluating the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) attributes of several alternative aircraft for the VXX program (Presidential Helicopter) employing the Aviation Maintenance Model (AMM).

Led a team that examined force structure requirements for Navy helicopters and vertical take-off UAVs (Fire Scout) for the 2015 and 2024 timeframes. The findings of the study were used as the baseline for helicopter force structure in the Naval Aviation Plan.

Led a study team in support of the MV-22 Osprey program office (PMA-275) assessing operational impacts of alternative defensive weapons systems.

Functional Support lead for the establishment of the Naval Aviation Enterprise Warfare Analysis Environment laboratory (NAEWAE), a classified center for conducting warfare analysis. Oversaw the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures.

Led a team conducting a verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) effort for an F/A-18 Inventory Model for the F/A-18 program office (PMA-265).

Bob has a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. In the Navy, he commanded an SH-60H/HH-60H helicopter squadron and a university ROTC unit. He retired as a Captain in 2006 after serving 29 years on active duty.
